SANSAR multi-stakeholder discussion document: Sugar industry in Bangladesh

In order to sustain the sugar industry in Bangladesh, which is largely owned by the government, it is necessary to study the present status, challenges faced and potential for future growth of the sector. To enhance the domestic production of sugar as well as to create benchmark standards equivalent to global standardization, the concept of CSR needs to be addressed in a national multi-stakeholder consultation. CSR Centre Bangladesh will organize this sector wide discussion and develop a plan of action to transform the sector to a more sustainable industry.
